Innovative City 2018: the major themes on the Smart City

For two days, this Wednesday and Thursday, the Acropolis Palace hosted the 7th edition of Innovative City. Confirming its international scope, the Innovative City exhibition has established itself as the major event in Europe in the field of innovative, connected, and sustainable cities.

The 2018 edition will focus on the societal support of citizens in all areas where innovations can concretely improve well-being and quality of life, economic development, and employment. Innovative City 2018, whose theme is “Innovation for better life & smart business,” will offer presentations, debates, and both convivial and fruitful exchanges around “human life” lifestyles and economic attractiveness.

More than 3,000 participants, 144 exhibitors, nearly 200 speakers, numerous international delegations from five continents, leaders of large international industrial groups specializing in smart cities, and dozens of start-ups are expected in Nice.

The major themes:

– Security & Resilience (cybersecurity, data protection, citizen behavior…)
– Health & Silver Economy (home care, connected patients, e-health…)
– Societal Trends & Environment (air quality, smart water, circular economy…)
– Digital Energy (self-consumption, storage, flexibility, energy mix…)
– Positive Mobility (autonomous vehicles, smart charging, transport infrastructure…)
– Digital Districts & Urban Planning (local services, smart buildings, smart campuses…)

Innovative City also hosts “Human Life Challenges,” an international event dedicated to the challenges of Artificial Intelligence. Sociologists, politicians, scientists, leaders, and citizens come to discuss the transposition of human behaviors into expert software dedicated to daily uses (transport, health, security, environment…).
