Romain Donda, communications officer, said:
“The contemporary discussion on the evolution of family law should not let us forget that more than one person per month dies worldwide due to violence based on the rejection of transgender identities. Every day, thousands of trans people endure verbal or physical violence and discrimination.

In our patriarchal, binary, and unequal society, transphobia is a symptom of gender-based discrimination. Raising awareness about transphobia also means fighting against sexism, violence against women, homophobia, etc.”

The evening’s program:

7:30 PM: Screening of footage by Naรฏel Lemoine and association stands

8:30 PM: Screening of the film “Transamerica,” directed by Duncan Tucker, USA, 2005, with original subtitles, preceded by “Mathi(eu),” a short film by Coralie Prosper, followed by a debate with the participating organizations.
