After the dissolution of the communist group, the noticeable reduction of the socialist and green groups due to poor electoral results, it is now the turn of the main opposition group, the FN, to make headlines!
In fact, following an internal crisis, barely two months after the municipal elections, the head of the list Marie-Christine Arnautu is not listed as president for the formation of a โNice Bleu Marineโ group within the Nice city council, whose presidency would go to Guillaume Aral.
Technical or political choice?
Due to the lack of official communication, the reason for this action is unknown, but it can only be deduced that things did not quite click between the local elected officials and an individual who, especially recently, had not been able to ensure a sufficient presence in Nice due to campaigning for the European elections (Marie-Christine Arnautu was elected and will serve in the European Parliament).
Residing in the Paris region, destined to spend much time in Brussels or Strasbourg to fulfill her mandate, it is clear that, lacking the gift of ubiquity, her presence in Nice will only be sporadic and her interest would likely lie elsewhere.
Is this the reason, or the sole reason for this disavowal? Are the national authorities aligned with this initiative from local officials?
