International Women’s Day Celebrated with Jazz in Nice

After the Sézamo, the Sun-7, and the CEDAC of Cimez, the collective Women On Stage presents its fourth edition at BSpot in Nice. This major project brings together on the same stage the most talented jazz singers/musicians from the region who present their original composition projects.

For this fourth edition, Women On Stage celebrates International Women’s Day with two consecutive evenings. Janysett Mc Pherson (piano and vocals) will present compositions from her first album, accompanied by Dominique Viccaro (drums) and Christian Baillet (bass); preceded by a warm-up performance with Melissa Trinidad (guitar and vocals) in a duo with a second guitarist.

Dutch singer Richenel Baars comes specially from Amsterdam to present his show “Queen,” accompanied by Ronnie Rae Jr (piano) and Pascal Masson (double bass); followed by the electro-jazz Sextet of Nadiamori with Maria Marolany (percussion and backing vocals), Amaury Filliard (guitar), Nadia Scaillet (vocals and guitar), Christian Pachiaudi (bass), Caloo Isnard (sax and flute), Gaetan Thomas (drums).

The event will be highlighted by the exceptional participation of the legendary Jazz “Diva,” Shirley Bunnie Foy (60 years of international career).
