Starting at 2 p.m., in honor of International Women’s Day, the General Council invites the women of the department to attend free cinema sessions at the Mercury, Garibaldi Square.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the General Council is offering nearly 1,000 movie tickets to women in the Alpes-Maritimes.
15 films are being presented in theaters 1, 2, and 3 of the Mercury cinema.
A rich program: 5 of the films offered address, through the concerned eyes of their directors, the daily lives and stories of women from around the world.
Whether they are named Wadjda, Christine, or Fayza, whether they are Brazilian, Cambodian, or French, the women highlighted share a common fight against sexism and a determination to secure the same rights as men in society.
