The organizing team of the race that took place on June 26th handed the check of funds raised during the 1st Iron Girl to the INDIGO association.
The organizers will continue their contribution to this beautiful association in 2012 and will once again place the Iron Girl under the banner of generosity. See you on June 24, 2012!
In the presence of Mireille Goy-Kreitmann, Founder of the INDIGO association, Dr. Anne Deville, board member representing the President of the association, and staff members from the pediatric hematology-oncology service at Archet Hospital, Yves Cordier (organizer of Iron Girl and Ironman), Patricia Jossot (Planète Jogging, event partner) and the Iron Girl officials handed over a check for 1044 euros to the association.
This amount was raised from each registration and package purchase for the race. Thus, the 429 participants not only took part in a festive sports event, but did so for a good cause with tangible application. Each participant can be proud to have contributed to improving the living conditions of these children, sometimes hospitalized for several weeks with heavy treatments.
Beauty treatments, outings, creative workshops, clown visits… the caregiving teams and members of the association are constantly imagining and implementing everything that can contribute to the well-being of these children.
