Yesterday, there were eight teams to start, including the players from Ribemont-sur-Ancre facing the Nice team, who had to concede before even reaching the triples games with a score of 17 to 4. Identical scores were seen for Le Relecq against Châlon-sur-Saône and for Bassens against Strasbourg. Montluçon had to fight a bit harder to overcome Ronchin with a score of 20 to 6.
After the draw, Nice will therefore face Bassens while Montluçon and Le Relecq will battle it out for a place in the final of the Coupe de France. The triples games start at 9 a.m., while the grand final will kick off at 2 p.m.
After qualifying against Carpentras and La Boule Florian (Marseille) in the zone finals and after managing the quarter-finals against Ribemont well, it is certainly permissible for Christine Saunier, Séverine Roche, Philippe Quintais, Henri Lacroix, Philippe Suchaud, Pascal Miléi, Simon Cortès, and Ludovic Montoro to dream of a new title.
But for that, they’ll still need to demonstrate some impressive “bottlenecks” and splendid throws!
