A Well-Prepared Return to School
This summer, 63 projects were carried out by the General Council in the department’s colleges to prepare for this school reopening, offering students a quality school environment that best promotes learning.
A Connected Return to School
With its 11,000 computers deployed, 2,500 video projectors and 700 interactive whiteboards installed, and one million accesses recorded each month to digital workspaces, the departmental multimedia plan constitutes a growing tool for communication between educational teams, students, and their families.
This year, the General Council is moving toward a new phase of the electronic school bag by adding touchscreen tablets.
These mobile devices will be made available to teachers for teaching subjects such as foreign languages or visual arts.
Three colleges will experiment with this new educational support. A demonstration of the functionalities of these innovative tools will be offered at Port Lympia College.
Let’s recall that in 2010/2011, the General Council dedicated 67.62 million euros for the construction, maintenance, operation, and equipment of the 90 public and private colleges accommodating the 50,269 students in the department.
