The editions follow one another and the success of the “Cโest pas classique” festival organized by the Department of Alpes-Maritimes is growing.
For the 13th consecutive year, the public responded more than ever since less than two hours after the online ticket office opened, the five highlights of the festival were sold out.
“We owe this success to all the artists who have performed on the stages of the Palais Acropolis over the three days,” commented Charles-Ange Ginรฉsy, delighted with this result.
With the “Cโest pas classique” festival, the Department of Alpes-Maritimes is proud to have been participating for 13 years in the democratization of classical music.
Year after year, this musical event, which has become essential, is experiencing growing success by bringing together renowned artists from the national and international classical scene.
For this 13th edition, we can notably mention the violinist Nigel Kennedy, the 2017 patron, who gave an absolutely breathtaking opening concert, the talented violinist sisters Camille and Julie Berthollet, the Cannes Orchestra enhanced with a rock rhythm section and four singers who paid a vibrant tribute to the legendary musician and singer Prince, the Odino pop symphonic orchestra, and Edgar Moreau, a cello prodigy who concluded the festival in a grand finale.
From November 10 to 12, more than 40 free concerts and activities were offered, and “Cโest pas classique” once again kept its promise: to amaze discerning listeners, young audiences, or newcomers.
“Cโest pas classique” invites everyone who carries classical music in their hearts and all those who wish to discover it to join again next year.
