Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, or the distant Sicily, the regions across the Alps have pitched their tents opposite the great blue sea to offer colorful and flavorful stands showcasing many specialties from neighboring Italy: pasta, coffee, cheeses, and other wines await tasting before being taken to the kitchens of visitors. “It’s a success, and even if the weather isn’t great, the celebration is magnificent,” says Agostino Pesce, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Nice, who is delighted with the new edition of the CCI Nice flagship event.
“We came as a family from Var because our roots are from the Piedmont region. We find products that we have a bit of difficulty finding in our shops, and moreover, the setting is superb,” say Clara, Patrick, and their children as they leave with their arms laden with victuals after discovering chocolate pasta for the little ones and chestnut liqueur for the adults.
