Under the sponsorship of the Italian Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies and the Italian Ministry of Productive Activities, the Italian Chamber of Commerce is organizing for the second consecutive year in Nice: ITALY AT THE TABLE. This major exhibition market will celebrate, thanks notably to the precious collaboration of CNA Alimentare, the excellence of Italian food production. Following the commercial success of 2005 with its 89,000 visitors, the 2006 edition, also supported by the PACA Region and the General Council of the Alpes Maritimes, promises to be even more significant and richer in discoveries.
The number of visitors is indeed estimated at 100,000, considering the increase in space and exhibition days (4 instead of 3). It is a unique opportunity for tourists and visitors to discover and taste the different regional productions during a journey across all of Italy. Pizza, Limoncello, jams, pasta, and selections of wines are true testimonies to the richness of flavors and aromas of the Italian tradition… the taste buds are in for a celebration.
Facing the sea, this extraordinary showcase stretches along the Promenade des Anglais from the Casino Ruhl to the Opera of Nice with more than 100 stands open from 10:00 to 22:00 (free entry).
Numerous events will accompany what already represents, both from a cultural point of view as well as economically and commercially, the week of Italy on the Cรดte d’Azur. In addition to the exhibition over 2500mยฒ, a conference entirely dedicated to trade with Italy will be held on the morning of June 2 at the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Airport. Besides the main experts on Franco-Italian trade and the officials from the economic mission of the French embassy in Milan, a journalist from the daily “Il sole 24 ore” will be present to cover the event.
