The account of Jacques Peyrat, President of the Republican Union of Nice, former senator-mayor of Nice, and CANDIDATE IN THE LEGISLATIVE AND MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS, was closed automatically and without notice on March 6, 2012 by Facebook administrators for the following reason: “due to reports of false identity.”
Jacques PEYRAT immediately reacted to the administrators by demanding to be reinstated in his user rights, given that the procedure followed to create Jacques PEYRAT’s account had perfectly adhered to the rules established by the Facebook site.
Despite this, Jacques PEYRAT was informed by Facebook’s administration that the reopening of the account, which was authoritatively closed without any legitimate reason, will take 30 DAYS!
Jacques PEYRAT and THE REPUBLICAN UNION OF NICE denounce a censorship maneuver, as this “error” following a “report”—of which Jacques PEYRAT is not the only right-wing opposition representative to fall victim to in the PACA region—occurs at a time when the Republican Union of Nice is once again making its presence felt on the local political scene, and when its President, Jacques Peyrat, is speaking in the media and increasing his audience on the Internet, with several thousand internet users interacting on the sites and social networks of the Republican Union of Nice.
