In 2011, Nice, a must-visit tourist destination since the 19th century, welcomed more than 4 million tourists.
Thus, to satisfy this increasingly demanding clientele and face growing competition from countries around the Mediterranean and the Balkans, the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis must continue its investments in the hospitality sector, as well as in the areas of dining and new technologies, without neglecting the quality of its welcome or services.
At the start of this summer season, it is useful to reflect on the tourism policy being implemented:
– Have we decided to rely entirely on our long-standing reputation, or have we chosen to rejuvenate ourselves?
– What recommendations have been proposed by the city of Nice and its partners to all those professions that thrive on tourism?
– Does the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis have the full support of the sector’s professionals?
To answer these questions, the following people will participate in this debate:
Mr. Rudy SALLES, Deputy and Deputy Mayor in charge of tourism,
Mr. Denis ZANON, Director of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Tourist and Convention Office, Mr. Michel TSCHANN, President of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Hotel Association, Mrs. Franรงoise LELIEVRE, Head of the Tourism Branch at the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Isabelle DREZEN, “Le Petit Futรฉ”
The debate will be moderated by Miss Julie DREKSLER and Mr. Gilles BOUCHER, members of the Young Economic Chamber of Nice Cรดte dโAzur.
