Jean-François Sautereau elected President of the FF University Sport

On the occasion of the 34th General Assembly of the French University Sports Federation, Professor Jean-François Sauterau was elected president.


sportu.jpg A former high-level athlete, Jean-François Sauterau was president of Paul Sabatier University from December 2002 to May 2008, President of the Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées University Network from 2005 to 2008, and Dean of the Regional Conference of University Rectors from 2005 to 2008. He was also a co-founder of the PRES (Research and Higher Education Centre “Université de Toulouse”) in 2007.

A member of the Executive Committee of the French University Sports Federation since 1997, Jean-François Sauterau was a member of its Board from 2000 to 2008 and again since 2010, as well as the president of the Toulouse – Midi-Pyrénées Regional University Sports Committee since 1991.

He succeeds Professor José Savoye as president of the FF Sport U. After serving two terms as president (2004-2012), Professor Savoye was re-elected to the Executive Committee, where, upon the proposal of Professor Sauterau, he will serve as vice-president in charge of international affairs.
