Jean-Michel Blanquer, Minister of National Education, Youth and Sports, is in Nice this Friday. He is meeting with staff members and partners who make up the “sovereign square”.
The “sovereign square” was established at the start of the school year to “improve the public response in four strategic areas: protection and promotion of the values of the Republic, prevention of radicalization, combating school violence, and tackling harassment/cyberbullying”.
This morning, Jean-Michel Blanquer visited the educational authority office in Nice to participate in a round table with academic stakeholders and partners. High school ambassadors against bullying were also expected to testify.
As part of the recovery plan, the educational authority office buildings have been restored. The minister attended the presentation of the work.
This afternoon, he was at Les Eucalyptus High School to address continuing education at GRETA. Jean-Michel Blanquer visited the electrical engineering and automotive maintenance workshops. The professional titles of building electrician and automotive mechanic were presented to him. Former trainees were present to testify, and current ones were able to interact with him.
The day concluded with a presentation by the partners of the “sovereign square”.
