The outgoing president of CDOS 06 was elected with 83% as Vice-President of the French Federation of Lifesaving and First Aid during the last General Assembly. Could this election mark the end of the electoral competition with his rival Philippe Manassero for the presidency of CDOS after the “draw” between the two candidates during the AGM on March 14th?

Jean-Paul Serra has not yet disclosed his intention to run again or not in the next General Assembly scheduled for May 3rd, but there are signs that clearly indicate his intentions.

Will Philippe Manassero therefore have a clear path for an election that is anything but consensual? Will there be a third compromise candidate?

But to return to the French Federation of Lifesaving and First Aid, it includes more than 55,000 members working in terrestrial first aid and also in aquatic rescue,

Jean Paul SERRA joined this Federation at the age of 16, he climbed all the
ranks, becoming a rescuer, specialist in resuscitation, road rescue specialist, first aid instructor, and rescue instructor.

He held positions as head of rescue at ASCA, Secretary General of the Departmental Committee, national head of first aid. He is currently President of the Departmental Committee of the FFSS, President of the PACA Lifesaving and First Aid league.

In 1990, he was appointed President of the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee of the Alpes Maritimes, and during these years, he worked on developing sports structures. He holds the Gold Medal for Youth and Sports.

Today, this structure, one of the largest nationally, participates in the majority of events in the Alpes Maritimes department.
