After the press conference during which Christian Estrosi had condemned this minor incident, the Mayor of Nice was able to discuss the issue with the Minister of the Interior, Manuel Valls, reminding him of his strong concern about these actions.
An agreement was reached to organize a permanent information exchange under the authority of the Prefect of Alpes-Maritimes.
The cell set up by the City Hall, bringing together social services, the sports department, the community life department, local city branches, and the Municipal Police, will contribute by centralizing all the information.
Christian Estrosi expressed his satisfaction with this agreement with the state services: “The City will implement actions to support families, especially those facing this situation and who are in distress. It remains fully committed to the fight against the jihadist movement and its detrimental influence on the minds and lives of some young people in Nice.”
