Joël Canapa, who replaces Anne-July Clary from Nice, becomes the new sports delegate of the PACA Regional Council. He was Vice President of the PACA Regional Council from 2004 to 2010, where he held the position of delegate for solidarity, prevention, and security.
This 52-year-old from Toulon states that he accepted this delegation with enthusiasm and intends to continue the mission of his predecessors by ensuring that the region continues to play its role as a preferred interlocutor of the sports movement through spaces for dialogue and consultation.
“The sports delegation was left without an elected representative since my colleague decided, for her own reasons, to step down. Late last week, Michel Vauzelle wanted to meet with me to propose that I take on this new responsibility. I obviously accepted without hiding my enthusiasm.”
More than one million two hundred thousand licensed members in the region, over one hundred and twenty sports leagues, the president of the CNOSF who is from Marseille, CROS presidents who are extremely engaging personalities and totally devoted to the Olympic ideal, an enormous amount of work accomplished by my predecessors, here is a challenge that doesn’t lack spice.
