From today until Sunday at the Palais Acropolis, this event will host the biggest names in the classical scene. More than 50 performances and 4 highlights ranging from classical to electro, from piano to reimagined operatic singing, including cinema and science fiction, await the audience.
The festival will open this Friday, November 27, at 8:30 PM with an exceptional concert given by one of the greatest pianists of our time, Boris Berezovsky. For the first time on the Cโest pas classique stage, accompanied by the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, he will perform Tchaikovskyโs Piano Concerto No. 1.
The next day at 9 PM, the evening will be energized by a techno legend, the American Derrick May. With the Cannes PACA Regional Orchestra, he will seamlessly combine classical music and electro.
On Sunday at 4:30 PM, a remarkable sound and visual show will animate the Palais Acropolis. The Nice Philharmonic Orchestra will immerse the audience in a fantastic world by revisiting the best of science fiction films, including the Star Wars saga.
Finally, at 7:30 PM, the charm and vigor of Simone Kermes will close this 2015 edition. Accompanied by the Cannes PACA Regional Orchestra, she will showcase her virtuosity and astonishing stage presence through the great Italian soprano arias.
