This year, Nice is embracing a wonderful “Christmas Conquering Space,” the 2017 theme. A cosmic Christmas that will illuminate the city’s most beautiful squares and avenues, respecting the environment with notably reduced energy consumption.

Until January 8, 2018, traditional decorations will be alongside unique luminous sculptures like the Apollo of the Fontaine du Soleil lit at the gateway to space by artist Gaspare Di Caro, echoing the illuminations of the Galeries Lafayette facade that he also designed for the occasion!

You can also discover luminous rockets at Place Massรฉna, a 20-meter-tall cosmic Christmas tree on the Promenade du Paillon, and a space-traveling Santa Claus in front of Lenval Hospital.

For nighttime strolls, the “neighborhood train” will be available for visitors.

To ensure maximum security, the Christmas Village will once again be set up inside the Jardin Albert 1er. Free shows for children will be offered at the Thรฉรขtre de Verdure.

Open every day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays), the Christmas Village, which turns 21 this year, will host around sixty chalets featuring a wide range of crafts.
