“For many years, we have already been collaborating with the School of Journalism through the interns we welcome into our editorial team. This is therefore a new step that has just been taken with this partnership, which is the foundation of many projects that will further shake up the media landscape in the Azurean region,” says Renato Ferrari, the new director of Nice Premium following Franck Viano’s departure. He is very satisfied with this new partnership which brings a new scale to his web newspaper.

Marie Boselli, Director of the Nice School of Journalism: “Our Press, Audiovisual, and Sports journalism students work daily with local, regional, or national professional journalists on writing articles, profiles, investigations, and opinion pieces. All these works will be sent to Nice Premium to be published and signed by our students, allowing them to be read! The published articles, written by our third-year students, will have been previously corrected by journalists as part of their courses.”

“The synergy initiated by the Komunicom teams, the school of journalism, and our platforms (Les Petites Affiches des Alpes-Maritimes, Art Côte d’Azur, and Immo Côte d’Azur) aims to create the first major southern internet media hub, working in diverse fields such as sports, economy, finance, real estate, art, culture, and public markets,” assures François-Xavier Ciais, Director of Art Côte d’Azur, Immo Côte d’Azur, and Les Petites Affiches des Alpes-Maritimes.

It will still be a few weeks before a new multimedia platform emerges from this partnership, offering a new vision of information that combines editorial content, radio, and television. “We are currently working on an ambitious new project that will blend writing, sound, and image in the service of information. For while today’s internet features web radios, web TVs, and online newspapers, there isn’t yet a quality platform offering all three. In terms of images, we aim to create a real internet television with thematic shows and recurring programs. Here again, the educational objective of the EDJ Nouvelles is clear: it is for our young professionals to work on multi-platform cyberjournalism. To be proficient today in our profession, one must be able to write well, effectively, coherently… but also to record and edit sound, to film and edit images. In any case, we aim for excellence… So, see you soon on the web!” clarifies Marie Boselli.

Therefore, a new media hub has just been created in Nice and on the French Riviera, thus demonstrating dynamism and the desire to be at the forefront of the future support of tomorrow’s journalism: the Internet.
