La Gaude: The Low Budget Men in a charity concert for the purchase of defibrillators

Latest News

True to its mission of saving human lives through the use of defibrillators, the musical group The Low Budget Men returns to the stage in La Gaude with a concert under the direction of Dr. Claude Mariottini, the rocker cardiologist!

They will perform at the Coupole starting at 9 PM after the inauguration of the exhibition “Crossed Gazes.” On this occasion, the international renowned rock singer, Paul Casey, will join the band.

The proceeds from the evening will go to the 20,000 Lives association, which has already purchased and distributed these devices in many communities in Nice and its region.

The 20,000 Lives association aims to promote the widespread availability of defibrillators in France, which are currently insufficient, hard to locate, and scarcely available in public places. It also seeks to raise public awareness about emergency procedures.

Twenty thousand lives could be saved every year in our country. That’s the bet of the association that has made it its name,” explains Claude Mariottini, a cardiologist and promoter of the association.

In France, sudden cardiac death is a real public health issue. Sudden death accounts for approximately 50,000 cases per year.

The rate of patients successfully resuscitated reaches 3% without a defibrillator and 30% when immediate responders have one available.
