With three young groups that will liven up Place de Banville from 7:30 p.m., this 31st edition of the Fête de la Musique in La Turbie will be full of energy!
This year, the Fête de la Musique is moving and taking over the heart of the village by setting up on Place Théodore de Banville.
From 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., 14 young musicians, who are regulars on the Monaco music scene, will take turns for a large free concert.
In their repertoire: rhythm and rock! A program that should attract the young and bring back fond memories for others.
“It was a young Turbiasque who suggested that his friends play,” explains Hélène Grouselle, Deputy for Culture. “The Municipality of La Turbie encourages the participation of local artists in our events, particularly young people during the Fête de la Musique. We are sure that the public will appreciate this 2012 lineup.”
It is the group So What that will kick off the evening with acoustic pieces, gently highlighted by the keyboard and guitar, with the original sounds of the cajon, a soft resonance box suitable for acoustic sessions.
Around 9:00 p.m., the four accomplices of the Bad Mother Rockers will raise the temperature with Rock and Hard Rock tracks. The diversity of their repertoire will satisfy all generations.
And to close out the longest day of the year, the Red Light District will revisit the great sounds of Hard Rock, commanding their basses, guitars, and drums.
