The Victorine Studios are set to experience a new lease on life. During yesterday’s Municipal Council, Éric Garandeau* presented the revival project for the azure studios. A project that has been adopted, and we present its innovations.
“Quiet on the set!” Soon, the Victorine Studios, perched atop its hill, will regain its former glory. As part of a project titled “Renaissance of the Victorine,” the azure studios will undergo internal and external modernization. “The studios hold extraordinary assets, and it is important to give Victorine back to the citizens while meeting the international series market, for example,” explained Éric Garandeau.
The improvement works include:
- The creation of a 3,000 square meter stage.
- A reappropriation of the Studios by the people of Nice: creation of a space open to the public including a restaurant, a lounge, and a coworking area.
- Developing the “Victorine” brand through the creation of a school for the image professions: it’s about developing cinematic training.
Moreover, the revival project aims to restore an international dynamic to the studios in Nice, akin to alliances with other film studios.
The total investment program is estimated at 45 million euros.
