The University of Nice Sophia Antipolis is set to receive a grant of 9 million euros as part of its new “Initiatives of Excellence” (IDEX) label.
This label distinguishes world-class research universities that promote connections between research, teaching, and businesses.
The government’s ambition is to equip France with 5 to 10 initiatives of excellence capable of competing with the best universities in the world.
This label aims to create world-class research universities with outstanding scientific power and impact across a wide range of fields of knowledge.
The ministry deemed the projects of the universities of Nice, Grenoble, Bourgogne Franche-Comtรฉ, and Lorraine as “exemplary” due to their “integration at the heart of a synergy” among universities, research centers, and businesses.
