Friday, January 13 at 9:00 PM at Fondation Hartung Bergman โ€“ Antibes

Musician, composer, and Mediterranean improviser, Serge Pesce offers music that draws from jazz, contemporary, and traditional music.

His projects and encounters lead him to perform in numerous countries (United States, Africa, Eastern Europe).
He also composes scores for stage productions (theater, circus, puppets), documentaries, and films.

Serge Pesce plays an accommodated guitar, which means a guitar that is adapted with a toolbox. A custom-made toolbox, to create an exceptional range of sounds. Unusual, organic, and lively tones.

Nourished by the Mediterranean, jazz, improvised music, and his Italo-Nicean culture, Serge Pesce has been developing this way of playing for several years, close to the “prepared guitar,” but different with a decidedly acoustic approach.

This atypical artist will present the work completed during his residency at the Hartung Bergman Foundation. He will be accompanied by videographer Erik Grillo.
