While close to one million people in France are affected by Alzheimer’s disease or related pathologies, more than three million French people live with these issues daily: spouses, children, friends, “caregivers.” They dedicate countless hours to supporting this loved one, sometimes to the point of physical and emotional exhaustion.
Concerned about this issue and eager to offer a respite solution for caregivers, which is also a moment of shared happiness, the association Seniors Sans Frontières was created.
Its mission?
To offer adapted tourist stays for elderly people with loss of autonomy and caregivers who wish to accompany them. Building on the experience gained over the past 5 years within the medicalized retirement residences of the Seniors Santé group, this association expands its services to dependent individuals living at home and their caregivers.
Seniors Sans Frontières organizes first-class tourist stays in France (French Riviera, Ardèche, Brittany, …) and abroad (Morocco, Tunisia, Balearic Islands), specifically adapted for elderly people with loss of autonomy (paramedical support and 24/7 medical assistance), as well as for those who wish to accompany them.
These stays are an opportunity for them to enjoy good times, freed from the constraints of daily care for caregivers since trained professionals are present at all times to ensure the comfort and well-being of each traveler.
“All-inclusive”, these stays include transport, transfers, insurance (assistance, repatriation, cancellation), adapted accommodation, catering, and all activities organized within the framework of the stay (excursions, workshops, shows, …).
Three types of stays are offered: “Escapade”, “Evasion” and “Discovery”, to closely meet the wishes, expectations, and needs of the elderly people and their companions. The services are differentiated according to whether they are intended for the dependent traveler or their caregiver, so that each can fully enjoy the stay and derive the greatest benefit from it.
