As it has been each year for the past 16 years, at the beginning of summer, the Alpes-Maritimes Department launches the Handi Voile 06 Tour. This 2022 edition started at the Nice Nautical Club.
Organized in partnership with host municipalities and supported by sailing clubs, this unique event in France offers free nautical activities accessible to people with disabilities and their families at various handicap-friendly beaches and/or nautical centers in the department.

Lasting one hour, these outings are supervised by certified instructors on trimarans, collective boats, and kayaks. It’s a summer event conducive to escape, discovery, and sharing with family.
A team of 20 people is deployed each day to carry out this adapted sports initiative. The launch of the Handivoile tour at the Nice Nautical Club highlights “advances in access for people with reduced mobility.” This year, for the first stage at the Nice Nautical Club, two Ukrainians, including a handicapped child, were able to benefit from this program.

Four outings per day are organized: from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Meetings are arranged ½ hour before boarding.
