This Friday at 9 PM in Saint-Martin-Vésubie, the opening of the Festival of Words, 2018 edition, will take place.
This task will fall to Stéphane Freiss.
He is a talented French actor trained at the Comédie Française. He won the César Award for Most Promising Actor in 1988 for his performance in Philippe de Broca’s film “Chouans.” He then continued to act in films by internationally renowned directors such as Agnès Varda, Claude Miller, and Steven Spielberg. Comedies, dramas, stage plays, he has accumulated successes and today has an impressive track record in the world of cinema and theater.
Until July 29, exceptional readers will succeed Stéphane Freiss: Richard Bohringer, Robin Renucci, Andrea Ferreol, Brigitte Fossey, Isabelle Carré, Astrid Veillon, and Charles Berling invite locals and tourists this summer to village squares, open-air theaters, and other historic sites in eight municipalities of the department.
These renowned actors will become ambassadors of words during the readings, taking us into the universe of great writers, the pride of our heritage.
A true “invitation to travel” for all lovers of literature and the devoted followers of the Festival of Words.
