This contest annually rewards writers from the Alpes-Maritimes or those who have a connection with the department.

The Prix Livre Azur was created in 2013 at the initiative of the Conseil Départemental des Alpes-Maritimes. Its aim, with each edition, is to encourage sharing and, perhaps, to inspire literary vocations. A popular jury, composed of readers, is hosted by the Department Houses once a month for reading committees.

Here are the 4 novels selected for the year 2019:

  • “Ma reine” by Jean Baptiste Andra, ed. L’iconoclaste, 2017
  • “Aucun répit” by Pierre Brocchi, ed. Lucien Souny, 2018
  • “Dix-sept ans” by Éric Fottorino, ed. Gallimard, 2018
  • “Tout un monde lointain” by Célia Houdart, ed. P.O.L., 2017

Jean Siccardi has been the sponsor of the Prix Livre Azur since its inception. He is the author of the novel “L’Auberge du gué” with Calmann-Lévy, winner of the Prix Baie des Anges 2018. More broadly, he has written 70 works published by the largest French publishers.
