Launch of the first edition of the outdoor dance-time festival in the city of Nice

From Friday, April 29 and for three consecutive days, the Antipodes Company, resident of 109, the contemporary cultures hub of the City of Nice, will launch the first edition of the Outdoor Dance Time Festival which will take place in different neighborhoods of the city, at 109, but also at the MAMAC.
This event is dedicated to dance in public spaces and the perception of art in an outdoor environment.

On the program, 3 days to make, see, and live dance!

Friday afternoon, the festival will host school workshops from CP to Terminale for a presentation of their work in the presence of Jean-Luc Gagliolo, Deputy Mayor of Nice in charge of Education.
Afterward, students will enjoy a performance by Claire Ducreux.
In the evening, festivities will continue at MAMAC with Patrice de Bénédetti, the amateur collective Acorps d’Art, the Parcheminiers and Maurie. A dance improvisation led by Marie-Pierre Genovese will close the evening.

On Saturday morning, two masterclasses by Emmanuelle Pepin and Thomas Queyrens will be offered at 109, to broaden everyone’s knowledge on the subject of body expression.
Next, the Saint Jean d’Angély tram stop will host the companies Ex Nihilo, Antipodes, as well as performances by Emmanuelle Pepin, Marie-Pierre Genovese, and Magali Revest for an outdoor demonstration. Mr. Robert Roux, Deputy Mayor of Nice in charge of Culture will be present.
109 invites you to join them in the evening to attend concerts by Clameurs, the companies Trucmuche, Michaël Allibert, and Ornic’Art. An evening with the theme “Not for children.”

For the last day of the festival, it will be quite the opposite, as Sunday is reserved for several parent-child workshops led by Marie-Pierre Genovese.
To conclude, the public will be able to see companies Les Goulus and Un Poisson En Avril at 109.

Between the shows, improvised dance sessions with the children will be orchestrated by Marie-Pierre Genovese, Thomas Queyrens, and Michaël Pascault.
