The GREEN Deal, together with the SMART Deal (digital transition), constitutes one of the two major axes of the policy led by President Charles Ange Ginésy.
The GREEN Deal aims to address the development of renewable energy and energy conservation, the preservation of biodiversity and natural resources, clean mobility, sustainable agriculture, circular economy (reuse of objects and materials at the end of their life), and education in sustainable development to make all citizens aware of eco-responsible actions.
To implement these actions, the Department of Alpes-Maritimes will launch an online participatory platform to give citizens a voice and establish a committee of experts, including individuals from civil society, to develop projects benefiting the ecological transition.
The chairman of the GREEN Deal Expert Committee will be Louis Bodin, an engineer-forecaster-meteorologist. He has been the head of the weather service and a weather forecaster-presenter at the RTL radio station since 2002. He presents weather bulletins on TF1, primarily every other weekend.
