League Cup: An OGC Nice Thunderstorm in Brest?

Latest News

First hurdle to overcome for the Aiglons in this 2012-2013 League Cup which will lead them to Brest, a team that Nice played against at the Ray 10 days ago with a beautiful victory and notably four goals in one match. An interesting competition that still allows for securing a European spot after only 5 matches from the round of 16 to the final.

nicebrest.jpg The red and black, who will exceptionally wear their blue jersey for the occasion, will not be in for a celebration at the Francis Le Blé stadium, which hopes that the home victory momentum continues with the three wins against Evian (1-0), Troyes (2-1), and last Saturday against Valenciennes (2-1).

On the Brest side, Landry Chauvin’s men will try to pass the round of 16 in a League Cup that has never really been successful for them. It is, in fact, the first time since the 2007/2008 season that the draw allows them to play at home.

Claude Puel will bring 18 players to Finistère for the Aiglons’ entry into the League Cup. Noteworthy is the return of Jérémy Pied and two new faces from the training center: Albert Rafetraniaina and Bryan Constant.

Goalkeepers: Ospina, Delle

Defenders: Civelli, Genevois, Gomis, Kolodziejczak, Palun, Pejcinovic, Rafetraniaina

Midfielders: Abriel, Constant, Digard, Eysseric, Meriem

Forwards: Bahoken, Bosetti, Cvitanich, Pied

Absentees

Fofana, Hennion, M’Bow (injured), Traoré (suspended), Diaz, Pentecôte (resuming CFA2), Bauthéac, Berthomier, Dao Castellana, Fernandez, Hassen (coach’s decision), Anin
