The presentation of the 2013/4 edition of this initiative, conceived and initiated by the late Raoul Mille, will take place at the CUM, a symbolic, if not more, location. It will be this Thursday, October 3 at 4:30 PM when Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice, and Jacques Vidal, his deputy, will present this year’s program and also review the previous year’s results.
This initiative is part of the policy to combat illiteracy and promote literary culture, initiated in September 2008, with meetings between writers and students.
From schools, this operation called Reading for All has expanded to colleges, high schools, at Lenval and L’Archet II hospitals, the detention center, and across the entire Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis.
Unique in France, dubbed “Reading for All,” it would never have existed without the will, dynamism, and sensitivity of Raoul Mille. Just like his literary work, the operation “Reading for All” continues.
