This Friday at 2:30 PM, Michel Tourscher will speak at the Ehpad “Les Lucioles” about his book A Disappearance, published in June 2018 by Éditions du Toucan – Toucan noir Collection.
Born in 1964 in Toulon, Michel Tourscher pursued a career as a police officer. After twelve years with the Paris judicial police, his longing for sunshine brought him back to the Mediterranean coast in Nice, joining the department’s criminal brigade. Having become a commander, he took the helm of the Ariane police station in 2012. Four enriching years before moving to the more temperate shores of Menton, where he still holds his position.
Writing came to him late as a need repressed for too long. In 2013, his novel Cops Requiem won the VSD crime fiction prize. Two other novels followed, and even if the author is less diligent than he should be in front of the blank page, the desire to share his stories is now firmly rooted in him.
