“Lecture pour tous” welcomes Philippe Dorin.

Since September 2008, the “Reading for All” program has invited writers to participate in schools, hospitals, penitentiaries, nursing homes, libraries, and community centers in the City of Nice and the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis.

This initiative has been extended by the “Theater for All” program since 2015. These operations aim to prevent illiteracy through meetings between writers or actors and various audiences.

This week, Philippe Dorin will notably be involved with his poetic, funny, and sensitive text The World, Point to Line, adapted for the stage by the Ziri Ziri company and presented at the Francis-Gag Theater on January 26 and 27. Depending on the audiences he will encounter, he will share his experiences as a playwright for youth theater.

Philippe Dorin was born in 1956 and lives in Paris. He is the author of many plays for children, regularly performed on French and international stages.

Since 1997, he has co-directed with Sylviane Fortuny the company “Pour ainsi dire.” Together, they create shows, including Winter, Four Dogs Bite My Feet and Hands, for which they received the Moliรจre Award for Best Youth Performance in 2008.
