Legislative elections (2nd constituency) Anne Sattonnet (UDI-LR) wants to be a force for proposals

Latest News

The 2nd constituency was that of Charles-Ange Ginesy, who decided not to run again due to the accumulation of mandates and is set to succeed Eric Ciotti as President of the Departmental Council.

UDi-LR candidate, first deputy mayor of Vence and departmental councilor, Anne Sattonnet wants to make the leap and establish herself in national politics: “I will be a force of proposals. I want a balance of republican forces in the Assembly, not a single party serving a government of ENA graduates.”

These remarks advocate for a strong opposition in line with a “hard” right, even if tempered by a declaration of openness: “I will carry out my mandate by being a force of proposals, supporting the essential reforms for our country without sectarianism or preconceived notions. Without obstruction or allegiance.”

She is said to be closer to Eric Ciotti than to Christian Estrosi, proponents of two political lines that oppose each other in terms of opposition/constructive collaboration with the potential President of the Republic and even regarding the National Front (a nod to the first/a concrete wall for the second).

Her problem in the race towards Palais Bourbon is the presence of Louis Dombreval, mayor of Vence, who has received the endorsement by Emmanuel’s movement and the support of the new regional president Renaud Muselier, behind whom we can imagine, without being mistaken, the silhouette of Christian Estrosi.

This makes this constituency a case study of the division and future recomposition of the local right, which, hegemonic in the department, risks fracturing due to internal dissensions.
