Legislative Elections (5th District): Chantal Agnely (FN) will challenge the incumbent Marine Brenier.

The young woman, even though she is not at all a novice in politics, will have a tough job proving herself in the 5th constituency (Nice and Valleys) against the Front National candidate, Chantal Agnely.

An expert and a fighter, she was an aide to the former mayor of Nice Jacques Peyrat during his terms. This same Jacques Peyrat supports her candidacy as well as Marie-Christine Arnautu, a European deputy and FN representative at the Nice City Council.

In 1995, she was elected to the Municipal Council before opting to join the Mayor’s office.

In 2014, she ran in the departmental elections, where she was defeated in the 2nd round.

In this opposition between two very different profiles, the debate can only be enriched, and the population will be able to choose between two projects and the two figures who represent them.

The younger candidate, an expression of the “republican” line, is favored for her interpersonal skills and the support of Christian Estrosi, from whom she inherited the constituency, but how can we forget that Marine Le Pen received the majority vote in the 2nd round of the presidential election in many communities around Nice and in the hinterland?
