Nice Premium offered candidates for the legislative elections a set of questions to allow its readers to better know, appreciate, and thus help them in their choice.

gildas_dupre.jpg Nice Premium: If you had to introduce yourself, what would you say?

Gildas Dupre: 44 years old, 4 children, involved in the associative world and working in social tourism

NP: What is the reason for your political commitment?

GD: My encounters with Renaud Dutreil, with whom I actively campaigned since 1999, participating among other things in working groups and organizing events, then with Fabienne Faure, whom I assisted during the legislative and European campaigns.
My commitment to these elections is the logical continuation to defend the values that are mine,

NP: Are you already elected or have you been a candidate in the legislative elections?

GD: First participation in the Alpes Maritimes and no mandate because I will be a man of only one mandate

NP: What are the strengths of your positioning towards the Azurean electorate?

GD: Living and working in the 5th constituency, I experience the same frustrations as my voters on a daily basis.

NP: Why are you a candidate in this constituency?

GD: Because I live here!!!

NP: How would you define your constituency?

GD: There has always been an attempt to separate the hinterland from the coastal area, but this constituency is a single entity. So, let’s stop trying to set us against each other, let’s be united and have a collective dialogue

NP: What do you consider to be the first urgencies and the first projects to implement?

GD: The laws we vote should not be a hindrance for our constituency!

For example: the Bachelot law, which eliminates beds and jobs in the hospitals of the hinterland, resulting in deputies fighting to preserve these beds after having voted for this law!!! This is a first urgency, amending the Bachelot law

NP: Do you think the Presidential election will influence the electoral choice?

GD: Yes, now it’s up to us, the MoDem force and Centre for France, to prove that I will be a deputy who will be neither in the majority nor in the opposition, but who will engage in useful and positive dialogue. I will be the voice of my entire constituency without sectarianism.

NP: What is your forecast for the outcome of the first round?

GD: Let’s not predict results before the votes, but I am convinced that we will have great surprises because clientelism is over

NP: Do you imagine a hypothesis for the second round?

GD: It’s that finally there will be a second round

NP: How is your campaign going and what are your next milestones?

GD: It’s difficult to exist in today’s political landscape having come 5th in the presidential elections. At each debate I participate in (LGBT, APF, etc.), I find an enthusiastic audience for my proposals and who regret the lack of visibility I have in the media.

I am well aware that today it is difficult to allow the countless number of candidates to express themselves. Perhaps it is up to you, journalists, to know who is fighting for their constituency or to “nourish” their party.

I invite you to check my calendar with an important meeting next Wednesday

-NP: What will you do next June 10?

G.D.: I vote! We are organizing a gathering of militants and sympathizers in Nice to experience the election results live
