This is a constituency he knows by heart because, in fact, it was his, where he was elected many times and which he left just a year ago to preemptively step down in compliance with the law prohibiting holding multiple mandates.
In 2016, it was Marine Brenier, one of the “bébé-estrosi,” who inherited the position, but her mentor accompanied her in this election.
In 2017, Marine will go it alone (with the athlete José Cobos as her deputy) to reclaim this parliamentary seat, which is meant to remain the political domain of the Mayor of Nice and president of the Metropolis.
This is the reason for this commitment, which, knowing the person involved, will be steadfast and full of determination: “I will fight with all my strength to rally around the candidacies of Marine Brenier and José Cobos, who embody renewal.”
Christian Estrosi is well aware that the election results will be scrutinized by his many critics who do not appreciate his independent spirit.
A small underperformance would delight many people, but Christian Estrosi has no intention of contributing to it.
So, while in the 3rd constituency, Rudy Salles is mature enough to manage on his own, it is this half-city, half-mountain area that is at stake.
“In this campaign with our candidates, I want to demonstrate that the only interests we defend are those of our territory, of our country.”
And what about the candidate herself?
“Together, let’s launch my campaign for #legislatives2017!” is her message.
In fact, the chosen location is emblematic: a vast area next to Phoenix Park, where the transformation of the city begins in the west.
A campaign that will be entirely based on proximity, as you can read:
“Engage you, consult you, and build the future of our country together, this is my vision of democracy! Talking to you, exchanging on your needs and expectations, that is what motivates my candidacy!”

“I have created a Reflection Committee so that every Nice resident and mountain dweller who wishes can contribute to the legislative work.
Our role is to carry your ideas, assert your interests, and involve you more in the development of laws and standards.”
