This somewhat tempers the government’s victory.
361 deputies for the presidential majority represent about 62.5% of the seats in the new National Assembly.
This is a clearer dominance than that of the Socialist group in 2012 (51.1%), but less than the 63.3% of the UMP group in 2002.
