The LGBT Center (lesbians, gays, bi, trans) Cรดte d’Azur and the AGLAE association (Association Gay et Lesbiennes Azurรฉenne dโExpression), in collaboration with other associations and organizations, are organizing a large demonstration in Nice this Saturday, January 19, starting at 2:30 PM, to support the law on equality for all (marriage, adoption, and ART).

The Nice gathering will take place at 2:30 PM at Place Garibaldi, for a departure at 3 PM, the route of the march will be confirmed and made public soon.
Equality of rights in 2013 means marriage, adoption, filiation for same-sex couples, ART for all women, changing civil status, free and easy at the town hall for transgender people.
The LGBT Federation calls for a national demonstration in the regions on Saturday, January 19, 2013, organized in each city by LGBT Centers and associations but also through simple citizen initiatives, to say yes to marriage for all and to demand that the government improve the bill.
The LGBT Federation supports the inter-association call to demonstrate on Sunday, January 27, 2013, in Paris and will participate in it.
The date was chosen to respond to the demonstration that associations and structures against the law on marriage for all and all will organize on Saturday, January 13, in Paris.
The LGBT Federation and the associations have decided to mobilize in the region before the national demonstration on January 27 in Paris, thereby showing their determination to support the bill (commitment No. 31 of candidate Hollandeโs electoral program) which will be debated at the national assembly starting January 29.
For all associations and their partners, it is out of the question to leave all the public space to backward and sectarian structures to manipulate public opinion with deceitful speeches, often tinged with hatred and generating inequalities.
The organizers’ statement: โAll together, we want to defend our humanist and universal values, as laid out in the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen of 1789, articles 1 to 6, a founding declaration of our secular, united, and indivisible republic!
We wish in Nice, as in all other cities in France, to open up our claims as widely as possible and invite all parties, associations, structures, and organizations, as well as each citizen, to participate in their own name in this demonstration and share with us these ideas of progress and equality.โ
