A week before the first round of regional and departmental elections, 500 people marched under the banner of the fight against racism and the far right to denounce “the attacks on freedoms” that, according to them, are multiplying with the rise of the far right.
Political officials, union members, eco activists, and association members marched to denounce “the attacks on freedoms” that, according to them, are increasing with the rise of the far right and “freedom-killing” laws.
The march stopped for a sit-in and a minute of silence in tribute to the people, men, women, and children, who have drowned in the Mediterranean. The procession dispersed without incident at Place Garibaldi. However, the protesters are already organizing other similar marches.
