Accessing movies, music, magazines, or even manga online is now possible for all subscribers of the municipal library.
The Nice Municipal Library with Regional Focus (BMVR) offers its users a wide range of digital services. With a simple library card, anyone can access these resources from a computer, tablet, or smartphone. The goal is to open access to reading, culture, and leisure for everyone, without additional cost.
For the start of the school year, several new offerings enrich the existing options. Subscribers can now explore new platforms that cover various fields: press, manga, culture, training, and cinema.
Among the recent additions is Vive la Culture, which offers curated selections of works chosen by journalists. Films, books, music, or exhibitions are grouped around current themes. The Scopalto service provides access to over 150 cultural journals, both French and international. Aimed at younger audiences, Cโest qui cโest quoi offers a fun journey through cultural and historical themes, starting from middle school.
Children aged 3 to 12 have access to a dedicated space: Ma Petite Mรฉdiathรจque, which includes more than 2,500 contents. It features cartoons, books, games, and creative activities in a safe environment.
Another new offering is Manga.io, which gathers more than 300 series and thousands of volumes. Subscribers can find major sagas as well as new releases.
Finally, a video-on-demand platform will soon complete the offering. Named Filmfriend, it will offer films, series, and documentaries accessible directly online.
