Even if the water still has an odor for some time, it presents absolutely no health risk. If such an odor is nonetheless detected, consumers are kindly requested to notify the Ruas company by calling 0820 02 01 00.
The Polonia factory has been thoroughly cleaned and restored by the operator, the Ruas company. While the source of the pollution has not yet been formally identified – the gendarmerie’s investigation continues – it is certain that it was an accidental pollution from outside the factory.
During the period of restricted use, 20,000 liters of bottled water were distributed to subscribers, and tanks of potable water were made available to them. Subscribers were also regularly informed about the progress of the situation directly by phone.
The Ruas company and the Nice Côte d’Azur Urban Community thank the subscribers for their understanding during these past few days.
