This Wednesday, OGC Nice travels to play Brest, in Brittany, during the 18th day of Ligue 1 Uber Eats. A match with multiple stakes for the Eagles who want to earn points to make up for their 12th place.
The time has almost come. OGC Nice is seeking redemption after finishing the mid-season in 12th place in the Ligue 1 standings with 22 points, far from the expectations and ambitions expressed by the club. For the second half of the season kicking off this Wednesday in Brest (7 pm), the Gym, coached by Adrian Ursea, will want to reconnect with victory and climb up the leaderboard.
Saliba as reinforcement, Dolberg back in training

For this resumption, OGC Nice hopes to see their number nine, Kasper Dolberg, back on the field after suffering from a tendonitis in his groins. Present at the press conference two days before the trip to Brest, Adrian Ursea provided updates on the Danish striker.
“As planned, there has been support with consultation from the medical staff from the start. […] We hope to have him with us as soon as possible. For Brest, it’s going to be tight, but what is certain is that he will be able to train with the group. We’ve found a Kasper with a smile, happy, and eager to express his full potential on the field, these are good signs.”

Another asset is William Saliba. Coming from Arsenal (England), the former Saint-Etienne player is on loan to the Gym without a purchase option. After completing his medical examination last Monday, he comes to strengthen the Eagles’ defensive sector and could take part in his first trip in his new colors in Brest.
“We are ready, we are fresh”
The Eagles train under the Breton rain and prepare for a winter match in low temperatures (-1°C). Nice’s striker, Amine Gouiri, shows great optimism after the holiday season. “We ended 2020 on a bad note, the break did us good. Now, we are fresh, we are ready.”
It will now have to be confirmed this Wednesday against Stade Brestois, who remain winless in their last three matches. The match will be officiated by Jérémy Stinat, assisted by Guillaume Debart and Huseyin Ocak. Jérémy Stinat has already refereed the Eagles this season, during their success in Angers on November 1st (MD9, 0-3).
