First edition of the Mediterranean Day of Free Software organized at Polytech-Nice School in Sophia Antipolis by the Linux Azur association
The Linux Azur association
Our region saw the birth of the first Linux distributions in French and the first French live version of Linux.
Before Linux was internationalized, Les Logiciels du Soleil, based in Cagnes-sur-Mer, offered French versions of Red Hat.
A non-profit organization under French law 1901, Linux-Azur aims to promote Linux and Free Software in the Côte d’Azur region.
It carries out its missions voluntarily through free and open install-parties, workshops reserved for association members and welcomes visitors free of charge at Free Software conferences.
Finally, Linux-Azur promotes Kaella in partnership with other regions.
One day, we’ll have to erect a statue of Tux between two olive trees 🙂
Our association organizes the [JM2L] Mediterranean Day of Free Software in Sophia Antipolis
