A collection of poems in six chapters. The author addresses the Everyday, the life each of us leads, in a society completely disrupted by the priorities of rampant capitalism and consumerism. We are compelled to consume and deplete the resources of our planet.
Here, it’s a call to common sense, if it still exists! Then, Jean Marc Dubois talks to us about Suffering, where he will evoke tolerance, acceptance of others, teaching us to better observe and, above all, not judge behaviors and origins, offering a beautiful lesson in charity, the true kind, not merely handing a coin to the homeless person on the street corner. To speak of Faith, does it refer to religions? Or rather to the very essence of God, in fact, if God were a Goddess, would there be war, hatred? The question is posed, leaving it to each individual to provide their own answer.
The fourth chapter is that of the poet: Woman, is she not the future of man? There is no need to answer; she is a mother and gives life. Then, the poet naturally transitions to Love, the color of your eyes, the act of loving…
The collection concludes with a sixth chapter: Humor, taking everything with humor, the glass will always be half full, even in the face of illness and never saying: “in the past!” One must live with the horizon, with tomorrow, not by dwelling on the past. The ultimate touch of humor is Amnesia with this blank page whose lines express the unsaid, because we have forgotten everything.
This collection of poems by Jean Marc Dubois is a guide to help us escape this formatted society where looking the part is more important than being. A worldview whose hypocrisy Jesus Christ already condemned in his time. A work that does the soul good!
