Literary Café: Direct from the Law by Eric Dupond-Moretti

Latest News

Through the narrative of several criminal cases treated like thrillers in hard-hitting chapters, Éric Dupond-Moretti denounces the imperfections of a justice system that increasingly disregards the rights of the defense.

– Orphaned by a metallurgist father at the age of four and son of a housekeeper of Italian origin born Moretti, Éric Dupond-Moretti became a criminal lawyer registered with the Lille Bar since 1984.

He is renowned for the numerous acquittals he has obtained in front of the assize courts.

He has notably pleaded in very high-profile trials (Jean Pierre Deulin, VA-OM, Outreau, Kerviel, Loïc Sécher, Crédit Lyonnais/Bernard Tapie in 2013, Jean-Louis Muller, Moise Katumbi in 2016, among others) that have earned him national fame. Today, he is the lawyer for Théo, the alleged victim of police violence and rape in Aulnay-sous-Bois.
