The Pocket editions and all the actors in the book chain present the 2016 edition of “Treize à table!” in aid of the Restos du Cœur. The profits from the sales of this short story collection are entirely donated to the association.
After last year’s success – sales allowed for the distribution of 1,400,000 meals against an initial target of one million – Pocket editions are renewing the “Treize à table!” experience.
For the publication of this second collection, it is not 3 meals per book sold that will be distributed, but 4.
This year, there are only 12 authors, with the reader presented as the thirteenth guest, gathering around the theme of sibling relationships. A strong subject that introduces us to close-knit siblings, others who despise each other, complicated and intense stories.
Among the authors present, we find the touching stories of Françoise Bourdin (Cent balles), François d’Épenoux (La Main sur le cœur) or Karen et moi by Agnès Ledig. Michel Bussi and Bernard Werber flirt with madness and the mystery of twins. As usual, Maxime Chattam gives us the chills with Ceci est mon corps, ceci est mon péché. And Karine Giebel chills us with Aleyna, a current and poignant story about a young girl desperately fighting against a forced marriage and family traditions from another time. Undoubtedly the striking short story of the collection, short but memorable.
“Treize à table!” is sold at the price of €5, meaning 4 meals distributed, the opportunity to indulge while doing a good deed!
